River Raven Sanctuary perches on pristine Kenai River frontage in the heart of Soldotna, Alaska.
This is world-class beauty in an accessible location—a 2.5 hour scenic drive from Anchorage, or 25-minute flight to the airport in Kenai, 15 minutes away.
+ What awaits you +-
Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the aquamarine Kenai River. Fireplace. Gathering space for groups of 6 to 15. Natural light shifts with Alaska’s dramatic seasons.
-
Each wildlife themed guest room is a sanctuary within the sanctuary. Oh so comfortable beds, 100% cotton luxury bedding, river or garden views, designed for rest and reflection. No TVs—simply presence and deep rest.
-
A few steps above the Great Room, sturdy wood tables can be arranged for business meetings and strategic planning, dining, and ideally for groups of 4 to 16. If you have a large group, seating can expand to 25 for catered meals.
-
Your outdoor sanctuary. From the deck, watch Eagles soar. Gather around flickering firelight for storytelling and lively conversation as the river flows downstream and wild salmon make their way upstream to spawning beds. Curl up with a book, journal, or visit with friends or colleagues in the new deskside Chinook Room, at deck tables, custom spruce benches, in lounge chairs, or around the fire ring.
-
Your indoor play space for a game of pool, cards, or a board game, with time to gather, laugh, and linger together.
-
For catered events and retreat meals. (Not available for guest use.)
Coffee, tea, filtered water, and soda is always available in the granite serving area or in the refrigerator drawers located in the dining room and meeting area.
-
Private dock on the Kenai River to fish or ponder. Flowers galore. Gardens in bloom. Herbs in the greenhouse. Walk to town or to nearby world-class hiking or running trails. Space to breathe.
-
TVs in rooms. Bustling activity. Though we offer excellent wireless internet, we’ve intentionally created space for self-leadership, stillness, and the kind of presence that’s become rarer and rarer in the world.

There is no other contemplative sanctuary quite like this on the Kenai River.
From the moment you arrive, every detail is designed for homecoming—the gathering spaces, the dock at the aquamarine river, the unhurried time to unplug and simply be. Beauty, stillness, and the intelligence of this land do their work quietly. What emerges is renewal, connection, and a quality of presence you carry home with you.
